Are you Ready For Eternity?

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3

Congratulations!

By saying that prayer, you became God’s child. You are ready for eternity. The Bible promises, “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,” John 1:12. Today is your spiritual birthday. You have been born into God’s family. And there is joy in heaven because you believed in Jesus. He said, “I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents,” Luke 15:10. You have begun a new life as a child of God.

God’s promises in the Bible that nothing can separate you from God, Romans 8:31-39. Jesus said, “He who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life,” John 5:24. You have eternal life as your present possession. You will not be condemned for your sins. You have already passed out of spiritual death into eternal life. You are safe for all of eternity. Jesus will never reject you. He said, “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out,” John 6:37. Jesus said, “I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand,” John 10:27-29. You are not holding on to God. He is holding you. He is stronger than anyone, everyone, and even you. No one can ever pull you out of God’s all-powerful hand.

Tell someone about your step of faith. Jesus said, “Everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven,” Matthew 10:32. You can do that by telling John, the author of this site, by clicking here << Tell John  >>.

Talk to your Heavenly Father. Prayer is talking to God. Talk to Him. Do not try to sound religious. Simply be open and honest. “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth,” Psalm 145:18.

The Bible is God’s message to you. It is His talking to you. Jesus said, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God,” Matthew 4:4. God has much in His Word for you. Invest in a Bible. Read it every day.
