Are you Ready For Eternity?
“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” John 17:3
Question 2.
Why did Jesus come to us?
True Christianity is God seeking man. However, all other religions are examples of men and women seeking God. Christianity is the opposite of that. Jesus said that He came “to seek and to save that which was lost,” Luke 19:10. Jesus came to our world to seek and to save lost people ... lost people like you and me.
Some people describe religion as a blind leap of faith into the dark. Actually, that is true of other religions. However, that is not the way of Christianity. Jesus said, “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life,” John 8:12. Believing in Jesus is a rational step of faith into the true light of God. Other religions are lost men following their manmade roads that do not lead to God. Biblical Christianity is not like that. Jesus came to show us the way to God ... to be the way. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me,” John 14:6. Jesus is the one true road to God. The Apostle Peter declared, “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved,” Acts 4:12. Jesus is the one bridge between God and man. “For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all,” 1 Timothy 2:5-6.
Why did Jesus come to us? He came to seek and to save us. He came to be our light in the dark world. Jesus came to show us the way to God ... to be our way to God.
